How often will a Boar aggro you without you attacking it prior?

If you are within its line of sight then it is always capable of initiating combat, regardless of whether you have attacked it beforehand.

Its more of a radius. Just don't get to close.

Is it common if a bear suddenly de-aggros you?

I was on the other shore collecting rocks and all of a sudden the bear de-aggro'd me. And now he did it again..this time I was aiming at him. Now he did it again whilst aiming...

EDIT: I read on the wiki about how a bear will run when enough damage is dealt within a single blow, but it didn't say anything about de-aggroing.
And the past few times I haven't been hitting him for him to run, I would be in the middle of getting my accuracy bar up and them he'll run/deaggro.

Yes, if you're too far away then they'll just de-aggro you if you're not actively using moves or attacks on them.

Can a Boar break a Hearthfire? It says that a Hearth Fire has a soak of 5, and boars break anything lower then 25..so..?

I built a square palisade and sealed it off, but I want to expand now...if I start a new palisade can I connect it to the old ones sealed cornerposts?

There is a random aspect to when an animal will aggro you. The red circle feature provided in Ender's client is more to warn you of the animal's presence, but does not indicate the range at which it will attack.
