I don't see any particular reason for that. But in this context I have one too: You can block someone in a cellar by standing on top of the trapdoor.

Added, feel free to sticky the topic if you feel like flaunting your mod powers ;)

Well, then it belongs more in the "How do I?" I guess, but frankly I think there are too many stickies in that sub forum already which can be quite confusing. When I have a bit of time I might add a link to this in the Beginners Guide from Sevenless and maybe Jackard feels like doing the same with his guide.

Please do, any support the thread can get is nice.
It was put in the Inn originally because I didn't expect it to become a noob-help guide but that's the turn it's taken I suppose

I'd be willing to keep it updated it's just keeping it in the top page can be difficult as the tips slow down

I started a topic on stickies and which thread should be stickied where on the Inner Party forums. Let's see what the other mods think about this.

Sign posts are a good way to store mass amounts of blocks, leather, rope, etc., if you are running out of conventional storage. Just remember not to build the materials onto the sign posts.

Don't even consider buying swimming when you are new. It will likely lead to a quick death.

I heard this on Global a lot lately.
When you build a Minehole and you're insecure about it, you can just block the entire thing with signposts under where the ladder is.
Or if you just don't want anyone to get in there while you're mining.
