even though I have leather working I dont have all the leather working options, not even leatherball. I have found string and leather, which are the required ingredients. I can make the drinking pouch but not a backpack. Whats going on? Never mind, I thought I had it but I didn't. Derp

I think, and I could be wrong, that you need to get all the discoveries in the tree to reach that point, skipping ahead doesn't work.
For example, you may have pulled leather out of a tanning tub and gotten the discovery, but did you ever cut boards to make the tanning tub? did you pull up water to fill the tanning tub? did you ever pull bark off a tree? did you ever butcher for a hide? did you ever pull a dried hide from a drying rack? Made a bonesaw? gathered bones? made a stone axe? chipped stones?

Unrelated question:
Do ore nodes recover if you don't fully mine them out? Like, say you mine a wall, get an ore, and stop. You come back later (after the usual amount of time it takes for a node to heal), will the ore replenish? could you keep one wall as a constant source of ore?
Signed,
that guy who did that thing same as the first II

You don't need to make a tanning tub in order to take leather out of one, and thats how you get the discovery. Not sure about the rest because I did all of it.

Nope, doesn't work like that.

No, it doesn't work like that. From my understanding (granted I could be wrong), each time you successfully do a tick of mining to a tile, it has a chance to be mined out, removing it. Ore is a finite resource, you can't keep part of a node from doing what you suggest.

Will stone axes, pick axes, swords, bows or any holdable tool/weapon require repair after using for a while?

No, any items will not require repairs even after extensive usage so you do not need to worry about that. Only items with armor value such as helmets, armors, and most boots can be damage and they cannot be repaired at all.

I've got 71 Marksmanship and 28 perception and I've got a sling of quality 26 and a bow quality 30.
Do you suggest i use my bow or my sling and when do you recomend upgrading to a bow, and after that a rangers bow?

@Strandmullen

there's no easy answer - a lot of discussions around this (sling or bow) - one you find here:

@Borka

Thanks for quick response. I think that I will continue using my sling a little while longer, but I'm soon going to change to bow.
