Building a PC over someone elses heartfire is possible.
You don't need tresspassing to pass through claims (only to enter houses and caves), so no, the person would not be trapped.

You also need trespassing to open containers or gates that are on a claim.

I'm not sure if it's the case anymore, but if a person tried to hearth back home and their HF was on a claim they didn't have permissions on, they'd get stuck.

is this map smaller than last world, or is there another reason we are all just getting started really close together so we get killed?

edit: how much strength does it take to destroy a runestone, wiki says they have 0 hp 0 soak, but I'm not doing any damage so I'm assuming the wiki is wrong...

Do dead bodies count as people with regard to animals refusing to despawn like decent creatures?

(I left half an hour before reincarnating. I suppose it's possible that there was someone else in the area, I just haven't seen anyone else there before, it's coniferous forest a reasonable distance from water or anything interesting).

ETA: ImAwesome, runestones are actually quite tricky to destroy - with (I think) 20 str I either needed a pickaxe or lots of water (possibly both). with (I think) 50ish str I still needed water or a pickaxe.

1. the live stream was released on September 27th
2. It is in alpha testing right now.

Beta Testing (This will be open to a much larger group with all those that were in Alpha Testing being grandfathered in and Haven & Hearth and Dreamlords: Resurrection players given priority) - This will start around the beginning of 2012 or when Alpha development is done and the game is ready for Beta Testing.

Open Beta (This will be as it sounds, open to everyone by registering) This will happen once the game is in a state to handle a much larger player base.

From what I can tell from my experiences with the game, the server does some sort of population thing and spawns you as close to (0, 0) as allowed within certain tolerances. The vets immediately pick themselves up and start walking in one direction until they see no signs of civilization.

The wiki is right. They just have a lot of HP. Without any strength, you can use a stone axe to add one damage. You'll still probably need a bucket of water to completely destroy it. Just to note: it would take me a couple of waterflasks to destroy one with a pickaxe and in excess of 100 strength (12+ dmg per cycle).
