No joke, don't grind, it takes the fun out of the game. Set some goals and just play, you'll get LP fast enough. Also, consider getting 10 perception (at least) and some survival for now.

If you MUST grind, try buckets or wicker baskets.

wicker breadbaskets

they take 5 branches and give 20 base lp (60 at 300 LA)

from a log you can get 12 blocks, which split into 5 branches each, so 12x20 lp is 240 lp,
instead of 4 boards, at base lp 30 for a bucket, is 120 lp
plus you remove the stumps (50 lp i think base?), and use those blocks as well

HOWEVER
if you get a better saw and up your carpentry, you can gain more and more lp from a bucket, since it depends on the quality of the products. Dont bother if your boards stay under q20 or so, i dont know when it starts to be a factor big enough to make a swap reasonable

Well, if "Play the game." is considered a rude and spiteful way to invite people into a game, which he wasn't even attempting to do, then you're gonna LOVE the Russians that are living just upriver who all have Murder and intend to make a raiding trip to the South in a few days.

i asked a simple question... if you're going to put a pathetic answer dont reply to the post...

im playing the game, obviously.

but i need faster LP and cutting trees to make boards and running them back miles away isn't doing the job i need for now.

also asked for tips and suggestions, which "playing the game" isn't an answer to anything i asked...

He wasn't being sarcastic, is the issue. You took it as him being rude and telling you off, but he was honestly trying to help.

Yes you can grind, but if you gain all your LP from buckets and I gain all my LP from actually hunting, farming, building, and whatever else, after the same period of time I'm going to have 80% of the LP you do, but I'm going to have a house, storage, cupboards full of food, likely better stats due to having more FEP options, higher quality tools, and who knows what else. You're going to have nothing.

Many people think they can just grind the best LP/hour task they can find and then suddenly be better than everyone else. They end up sadly mistaken when they have to do everything I did anyways to catch up. The higher end players who actually do things like this are part of large villages who can help support them. They're intentionally "sponsoring" (so to speak) these players so they can be strong early as enforcers and warriors.

If you must grind, do it as a supliment. Work, play, build up something to work from, and grind when you've got nothing else to do at the time and are finding yourself idle.

No. It just increases the quality the mats you get, like boards.

i dont know, some people

for lots of crafting things, the quality of the materials used improves the amount of lp you get. this includes buckets. Improving your carpentry when your saw sucks is not worth it, first you need a better saw. with good q boards you can get a lot of lp out of a bucket

....

Higher quality = More LP.

Bucket grinding is liek teh fastest way to get LP nowadays... At full change you'll get around 1K LP/minute with a decent bone saw and carpentry

Do note that a lot of people, myself included, will kill all clearcutters they see.

No warnings?

Granted, I do my best to selectively harvest trees, like if there are two right on top of each other in a clump, I'll chop one and move on.
