Not much more from what it says. I usually get the "much hard for you to mine" one.

raised my str up a lot

(57 now) and i'm only getting rocks atm... :o

I don't think str determines what you get. It jus determine possibility to mine certain areas and stamine drain while mining

i believe the stronger you are the harder the rock you can mine and thusfor the better the ore you can get

then again i have no clue what the hell i'm talking about.

I think you have to prospect in a cave first. In this way you will get a knowledge where you should dig. In other case it is just a blind shot - no luck, no ore. Hardness of the rock can be not connected with ore which is behind it (just random spots of a "hard" and "soft" rocks and random spots of an ore).

so..prospecting in a cave is basically "where to dig" skill now? what if you build a mine hole in a cave? leads to nowhere? another level?
