Gives your opponent .5 advantage per flex

Flexing a full attack bar gives them 2.5 advantage, which is an absurd trade-off for one punch. Just jump or Sting like a Bee or something.

Its an interesting change as the combat before was relatively easy and now people with higher agil cant flex spam if they do they aren't gonna hurt you as much.

You can use flex to refill quickly after hitting someone and getting an advantage.

Actually updated my guide with the new changes instead of whining about them (still don't like it).

Noob here. Im a bit confused about the attack bar in combat. I always thought that the attack bar meant the % damage you will hit for depending on the fullness of the bar. However I watched a video where someone killed a boar with punches when it was running away without using any moves to boost his attack bar first. What exactly does the bar do? Do you deal any more damage if your opponent has 0 defense left and you have 100% attack bar compared to having 0% attack bar? What about a case where your opponent has a little defense yet, like 20% and then you swing with no attack bar you dont deal damage or what? What about when swinging with full bar? Do you then deal reduced damage assuming you pierce their defense on the same blow?

The attack bar reduces the defense bar. If somebody has 0 defense, for example, then it does not matter if you hit with 100 attack bar or 2 attack bar, you will hit for the same amount of health damage.

Now, say your target has 20 defense bar left. You punch them with 50 attack bar, and it is barely enough to reduce their defense to 0 and deal health damage. If you, instead, hit them at 100 attack bar, you will deal more damage than you would at 50 attack bar.

If an opponent has 20% defense bar and you swing with no attack bar, and they are standing still, you will not hit them for damage and you will not reduce their defense bar any further.

In the previous worlds, if this same instance occured and they were moving, their defense bar would be reduced to 0 and they would take full damage. The video was probably recorded when this was true. Recently they have changed it so that your defense bar will be reduced as if your current maneuver was only using 1/4 of your unarmed combat stat in response.

I hope this answered your question.

Well you answered my questions pretty well. But about movement combat you said "in the previous worlds" it worked like that so how does it work now? If you hit someone who is moving do you reduce their defense to 0 and deal full damage or do you not reduce their defense at all but deal full damage regardless or do you hit against their defense when they move in world 7?

Does that mean that you get extra weight on your attack (or actually reduced weight on their maneuver) and swinging with zero attack bar does nothing even though they are moving? And swinging WITH attack bar doesnt penetrate their defense automatically but instead gets a huge bonus due to the added weight? Doesnt the new change negatively affect movement combat since you have to get more attack bar between swings?

It's reduced weight on their maneuver.
Swinging with zero attack bar does nothing.
Yes, swinging is not an instant hit but gets a huge bonus.
It makes it harder to instantly kill people in movement combat yes. Also prevents 10 UA alts from obliterating the entire defense bar of a 500 UA character (part of the reason why the change was made).
