Postby generallepl » Thu Jun 20, 2013 6:44 pm

Hellou, on RoB.com is written, that the Perch is easilly caught during the dawn, with leeches as a bait and on deep waters of rivers, so i did so, but i caught nothing (except "one thousand" sturgeons and one roach). What did i not good?

Sorry for grammar im from poland :)

Fishing is crazy voodoo majicks and you can never be totally sure what you're gonna get. The moon phase can change the type of fish, try the same spot later on and see.

Just pray to the gods for whatever fish you need and hope they are generous.

3 fishing areas, river, lake shallow, lake depth. If you don't get what you want try the other spots. If none give you what you want, wait a day.

Fishing is overly complex for what amounts to beginner food atm.

i learned something about fishing this time around.

bloated leeches and un-bloated leeches are handled as 2 different bait types (sometimes in the same location they will yield different types of fish)

sometimes you get a little peice of shallow water sticking out in a river, and that shallow spot is different from the deep water spot, so 4 fishing areas...it is really hard finding those little spots that stick out though

Ok, I have been gone awhile and came abck to HnH and found this thread. I've been fishing a lot of recently and there are several factors containing fishing.

As identified the moon affects what fish can be caught during that time of day. This is very true and fishing at certain times can result in specific fish.

A second thing that affects the type of fish caught is whether it shallow, lake, or river. These bodies of water all affect the type of fish.

A third thing to consider that I have not seen in this thread is your lure type. You will catch different fish if you use a rock lobster instead of a wooden fish.

A scenario containing one variable of lures is I am fishing in a river system at a certain time of day. I am only using two different lures. When I use the cone plug, I get 100% brill. When I use the rock lobster, I get 100% roach. Same exact fishing spot but different lures.

I hope this helps. :D
