Sevenless, I said 15 UA because I thought it's enough not to be 1-hit by, say, mouflons.
I don't know the exact value, but when you can't be 1-hit or 2-hit it's perfect.

Edit: Hazlenuts do not work. It was my error. However Mulberries, chantrelles, and blueberries do work.

can also use things from ant raids and elm boughs

Apples and apple cores too
Hope you have a great day

The stickies were getting incredibly cumbersome. There's just too many for the format we're using. That's why a sticky for guides and walkthroughs was made.

We can discuss how it was done and how to change it in the plea for mod thread, but there's too many good/useful guides to have each one stickied at this point.

Boat Bridge System

I'll show you all a little trick I use to make a bridge across a river or deep water cave pond.
Just do as I say:

1. Take two boats and put them in this position

2. Get in the boat where you are and boat to the other side
Image

3. Lift the second boat and bring it to the side you came from
Image

4. Get out of the boat. Both boats are now at the first side of the river.

5. Get into the second boat and boat to the other side

6. Congratz! You now have crossed the river with the boats at the exact same spot for next time!

Hope you have a great day

You saying I should quit collecting boats? It ain't theft if there ain't no scents!

Still not as useful, though. Can't walk a cow across a river with boats. Will say using this for ponds is generally safe, though, as you can close off a cave complex fairly well.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

mostly used it for this.
I guess it's not safe for your boats if you care about them, yes :)

Easy way to discover missing metals (you need at least one metal discovered for this to work, but you can discover later easier when you get bars).

For example: first you find copper on one character and you haven't discovered other metals yet. All you need to do is obtain one metal bar of missing metal or 10 nuggets. Then just go to alloying crucible and melt bar to nuggets and nuggets back to bar. That way I discovered iron, wrought iron, steel and tin on my character without specifically discovering them from process.
Hope it helps... :)

Addition to tip 79 - wine and beer both stack so they're perfect "fillers" for any FEP gain.

Addition to tip 81 - you can use elm tree boughs (not firs though) to fill troughs - useful at world start to feed tamed animals if you don't have crops to do it.

Also - shovels remove stumps faster (don't remember seeing that one in the list).

Also - when you're out hunting/clay digging or whatever, do it all from a boat: you can dig clay from shallows in a boat, you can put dead carcasses and even chests directly at the shoreline and interact with them without leaving your boat. Might save you at some point.
