if there are 2 pieces of minable land in the middle of a cave path are they safe to mine? snake mining goes through more than 2 so just wondering if its safe or if I'd end up with big rocks falling on my head again...

Is there a specific good curio to focus on when you're beginning? Like, should I be wasting my time with cone cows or is the extra effort for the primitive doll worth it? Or should I just spend my time raiding ant hills instead?

Do all of it. Cone cows are really only useful at the very beginning, when you need every lp you can grab.

Other good things to do:
- get pottery and dig up some acre clay on a mudflat and make yourself a clay chariot or two
- head to the nearest swamp and collect some dragonflies (if you are lucky you might catch a ruby one)
- collect any ladybugs that cross your way
- raise your exploration so you can spot more and better curios (also some points in survival, to raise the quality)
- ...

anyone have an answer to this? I'd like to build some things inside the cave to make mining easier but those spots are in the way...

@VileThings, cone cows are always good. later in game when you have higher quality trees you'll have higher quality cone cows so they give even better LP. as has been stated many times on these forums the things that are good early on are even better later in the game because of quality improvements.

well build a palisade and also claim your land,thats the best way i know of anyways,not easy though,well depending on how far into the game you are and everything
