I'll show you all a little trick I use to make a bridge across a river or deep water cave pond.
Just do as I say:

It's better to just use a swim bot

To remove the hearthfire of one of your dead alts from the way without resorting to vandalism, just reincarnate them and make them relocate it.

If you want to aggro an animal from offscreen, putting more distance between you (baiting, or to start closer to your boat or wall) position yourself so that you can see it, set your speed to crawl, start walking in the opposite direction and quickly use Shoot on it to make the aim bar appear. Once you get to your destination, reset your speed and shoot.

"Dang, are your wagons that slow?"

If I wanted to get a load of bull from you I'd have brought my cows for you to impregnate!

1. Dead characters don't have hearth-fires, and they can't relocate from the spawn room, except through the sherlock holmes guy with a gun to someone else's hearth secret. Going through the usual ladder for wilderness will spawn you at your old hearth

2. Hold ctrl while aiming to move without shooting.

Tip 52 no longer applies to soil/water/clay as just a linens alt.

you can still make an alt for those things, you just have to raise the alts survival now...and thats a lot simpler than getting a bunch of skills stats and attributes like you do with your mains.

You can plow the ground while in a boat on a water tile. If you put a meat grinder and a large chest in your boat you can kill an animal, make sausages and then store them in the large chest. You can then put the chest and grinder in the boat and safely grind hunger in the water without having to worry about someone stealing your things.

until someone comes along shoots you breaks your boat, steals your grinder and chest of sausage and laughs as you drown...

but seriously, you can plow water?

How about this then, you can pour all the grape juice from a wine press to a barrel by just lifting the press, then right clicking the barrel.

Also, here's Armor 101 in an easy to swallow pill:

Code: Select all
Every armor has an armor class that is expressed with two numbers (i.e. 5/10).
We'll call the first number Block, and it's the damage that piece of armor will nullify.
The second number is the Absorb, and represents the damage that the armor will take in your stead.
All armor has a set number of hit points, and once they absorb enough damage, they will break...
BUT! Block is calculated before Absorb, so if you have a high enough Block, nothing that would deal less damage than that will damage your armor (let alone you) at all!

Bottom line is...if you equip a full suit of armor, it will last much more than if you equip only one or two pieces.
