At the risk of being called a troll and allowing myself to be exposed as a woefully ignorant "noob", I was wondering if it would be possible to list why each of the above programs would be useful to someone like me. I know about IRC but not everyone does or why it would help them. A little more information and detail would be very helpful. :) Thanks in advance for the information.

IRC is just used because there isn't a global chat or trade chat in game

I think what Lyne was trying to say was, "IRC" or "Wiki" mean very little to someone who does not already know that IRC is a chat application, and a Wiki is an encyclopedia of useful information/references. In other words, the other resource links should be explained in the same way Pinta has been, or the topic's usefulness is limited.

I'm sorry Jackard. I did not mean to upset you. Not everyone is as computer savvy as you obviously are. You always seem to post things that help players out so I didn't think you would mind the suggestion. The tools you listed are very helpful. Thank you.

"wiki" is short for "wikipedia" and "terrible", it is an online encyclopedia relying on contributions by readers and all that implies

"IRC" stands for "Internet Relay Chat" there are many different chat programs that use it such as mIRC and xchat and pidgin the link is for the server and channel, aka chat room

"image hosts" are websites that host images, you can upload your pictures, the ones linked are free
