So if my stamina runs out, like 3/4 through the first hourglass, it'll actually complete that attempt?

Quite correct. Some mountains don't have any stone nodes at them, others can be pretty high quality. (Found q80 last world.)

Mining, unlike plowing, always completes the attempt your on. You can't start mining again if you don't have enough stamina to finish the attempt. If your mining ability (sqrt (str * tool q) ) is equal to the hardness of the tile, it will take a full glass (and all your stamina) to mine one tile. If the hardness is even just 1 point more, you can't mine at all.

Alright, cool. :) I was thinking when the stamina ran out before the hourglass was done, that it cancelled the attempt for whatever reason (because he's not in shape?)

Once again, thanks for the help :D:D

I read somewhere that someone can come along and steal your cornerpost... Is that actually possible? Something about loging in as it coolsdown to avoid griefers stealing them. Should I be paranoid when I throw up the first piece?

They can't steal it but they can seal it, sealing a cornerpost makes it so that nothing can be built off of it.

what griefers like to do is stop by a just set cornerpost seal is and then leave you to have to build a new one to make your wall.

An initial corner post takes 12 hours of reallife time to dry, so your best bet is to finish building it at a time that you nkow is 12 hours before you will be online. I usually aim to have the corner post finish setting around a half hour to an hour after I plan to be online.

also once you are done with a section of wall that will be extended off a corner post it is a good idea to seal the post yourself to prevent greifers from sealing you into your area.

Best to just build the whole thing and get it done and over with. If there's an empty wall section, anyone can come up and stick a cornerpost on there and seal it.

Thanks guys!

I'm gearing up to take out a fox (soon... lol).

Nettle shirt/pants is supposed to boost my UA by +1 a piece, but I can't see the boost on my character sheet. Is it a behind the scenes thing?

It'll show up as a green number when boosted, red when penalized. I don't think the purchasable skills will show the bonus, so you just have to have the character sheet open and then unequip and equip an item to see the amount of bonus it's giving.

Yeah, it's only boosting Survival and not Unarmed like wiki/brodgar claims it does. I should be +3 with 1 hard Unarmed if they each give +1. That is not the case though, visually. :(

That is not bad. If the hour glass finishes and it says you're too tired to mine, it means that you finished mining once (every "hour glass" is one mining attempt) but you're too tired to mine again. Even if you're too tired to mine after the hour glass ends, you're still going to get either a stone or ore (or nothing, but restore stamina and keep mining until you get something).

Keep mining the same tile, regardless of if I get stone/nothing? I found a cave with alot of spots I can hit...

Maybe your nettle pants and shirt are below q10. They give +1 unarmed at q10 but +0 unarmed at anything below q10.
