Computers are dirt cheap now, you can get a decent Desktop system for like $40.00 on Ebay and I've always got enough parts to throw a couple together. Some woman is bringing me both a desktop and laptop today and "paying" me to copy her pics to an external drive. In addition to paying me, she's giving me both the desktop and laptop. I generally have to throw comps away because of storage issues....

You might or might not be aware of this, but if we're talking about doing "good" things, I figure this should get a mention:
There are several organizations that take donations of old computers and refurbish them. They then provide the systems to schools or ship them to oranizations in developing countries that can put them to use.
