well did any of the other worlds have issues with this kind of lag? not that i can see through the forums...

Could of been an error somewhere along the lines upgrade ram and adding hard drives will distribute the stress thus making it faster. I have a buddy that works on servers for a living im gonna talk to him to see if he can find reasons around the filesystem.. maybe he can have a work around or come up with a possible answer to negate the lag

Just..read the OP...would it kill you to be informed of what's actually going on before hand?

Well I am 100% sure that your friend doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, considering that neither of you even know what the problem is.

You're not welcome.

If it was such an easy fix don't you think it would have been fixed by now? I may not know much about how to fix the problem, or about the problem in general, but I do read what's been posted and I understand enough about what's going on to know that you (or your friend) is/are talking out your ass/es .

hey guys i'm just a 21 year old virgin but couldn't they just maybe try turning the power off and then back on again? my friend does that with his router sometimes and he says it will totally fix the problem.

Eh, he should work around that bottle neck and do more pooling things into memory before write to disk. He is probably opening too many small files for writting, he probably isn't using a real database that were made for this kind of things.

I am just speculating, I don't know anything about it but I do know bottle necks like disk IO can be worked around with code.

Ok well you got two ppl doing this as a hobby

Vs someone that gets paid to troubleshoot and recreate problems on a server to find a way to fix the problem... I just want to help the game.... No reason to get all trolly.

Sending a PM to Jorb or Loftar directly, or finding them on Irc to discuss it may be better than talking with the forum creatures.
#haven or #salem for the irc
And a search for their names on these forums will bring up their profiles
