Once you get those few pieces out of walls you 1. already have a node, 2. got ore for at least 1-2bars = nugs for supporters.

Its just that with half-broken prospecting (well, i always manage to find the node but its painfull, probably jorb wants us to torture ourselves a bit) + building supporters like this its gonna be simply nightmare.

I still say this was needed, so we raise back price of gold and silver, which was too common in previous world(s).

I see what you're saying. Personally, I enjoyed the market based on pearls, not only did it help stabalize prices, even noobs can get them and the byproduct also helps drive the silk industry, I've only found a silver node once in game (Bearcrest, w4, we mined out 86 bars and then the server got wiped, my city planner/miner quit he was so infuriated lol) so while it may be good for the select few who find it, the market may suffer overall, depending on the length of the world.

This will probably cause metal prices to jump.

Competition drives quality. That's the benefit of open market. While I do agree that people were able to buy thing too easily last world, it was because a fair amount of people set the trade standard rather low. It was good for the consumer, but bad for the producer in the end.

I doubt this new system will change anything, someone will find a 80 bar gold mine and just sell it dirt cheap.

probably...the folks who can get metal right at the edge of a cave aren't going to have any problems at all with this, just everyone else will.

Depends which faction finds it and how secure they feel in having something like that. There's always the possibility of attack because people simply don't agree with your ideology, however, I agree with you. Someone is guaranteed to flood the market at some point.

I've always thought Dhelms are so goofy looking I can;t figure out quite why people prance around in em but YMMV.

Is there a set damage for cave-ins or does it randomly choose how much it rapes you?

It's based on level. And it's pretty much guarenteed to rape you some how. When I first started in w4, we had a guy grab mining and just start hacking into the walls. We came in about 20 minutes later, dude's dead, wall's all fucked, so we had no idea what happened. Assumed it was bears.

Fuckin' Cave bears...
