My testimony... I'm a parent with a family of my own. I'm very paranoid about downloads as well. However I started playing H&H July 2011 and have never had an issue. The developers are real guys who have actually been employed by Paradox games to develop Salem, so they can be further looked into. My computer is, as always, virus free. I allowed H&H to be played on all of our computers so my husband and son could play as well. As far as downloads go, it is completely harmless.

There's some stuff you can do with Java, but it's a bit limited.

well, tell him that since this is a JAVAWS program, that downloads from your java, to your java, all of the files except the tiny client are kept elsewhere, and as far as i know that either makes it impossible (or imensly difficult) to make a virus for, your safe.

unless all the people who already play this game (and have for years) have not convinced :3

or i could have read the whole 6 pages and found the problem resolved.
