yes - animal corpses decay independent from where stored (house, boat, cart) - even keeping them lifted doesn't help against decaying

after first 8 hours skin will be gone, after another 8 hours meat and insterines, the bones will be gone in another 8 - 16 hours (not sure atm - i had 24 hours on mind for the whole process but elsewhere it is said 8+8+16 hours)

different question now how does curio LP gain go up is it like armor where Q10 is the first boost Q20 is next then Q40 onto Q90 and Q160

or is it Q10 Q20 Q30 Q40 Q50 Q60 etc?

well curio LP gain goes up with each point better q - not comparable to boost

And btw. i searched a bit in old AfO threads as i wanted to know when 50 pts for a q10 pearl got established

the first trader who put in 50 pts was Rescu in W5 - but i gueess the 50 pts / q10 base comes from W5 Pandemonium trade thread:
All trades are calculated in Panda Points (pp), which basically equal one blueberry
pearl 50 pp

and i think people silently agreed on that as a standard as Pande was established and known to think about well about what they do...
(too bad ewlols original post got edited when SarahJ took over trading and had to revamp)

The stats of basically everything are calculated by the stats at base quality (q10) multiplied by sqrt(quality/10). At q10 that multiplier is obviously 1, at 40 it is 2, 90 is 3, 160 is 4, 250 is 5, and so on.

This has probably been asked before, but here it goes...

Me and my team finally got the palisade up, now we want to claim it all so it won't decay.
Do we have to do it with our individual claims, or should we set a village claim (does that work?/is it hard to expand?)?.
Thanks in advance.

Also, what happens when your heart fire is destroyed?

To prevent decay you can do it with either village claim or personal claim. Village claims are pretty large by default, and can be expanded by banners (requiring 25 linen cloth and some sticks) or statues (requiring a soldier sword (which takes 2 steel) and some stones).

When your hearthfire is destroyed you lose the option to teleport to your hearthfire and to login at your hearthfire. It also allows you to teleport to a village claim regardless of the travel weariness it would take to do so which is useful when trying to teleport far distances. That being said, its also dangerous to not have a hearthfire because if you have left and summonable scents (via assault, theft, vandalism, battery, or murder) than anyone with those scents can summon and kill you anywhere they want if you are logged off.

If you want to have multiple personal claims, then a village claim is the only way to do this. All claims of the same type must have at least 5 tiles space between them or you can't set or expand them. (It may be more than 5 for village claims... don't recall off the top of my head.)
