Read something similar elsewhere, but can't find the post. (Search for "destroy" and "claim" got 91 pages of hits....) This would mean that they have a soak of 10.

edit: found the post(s) in the w7 announcement thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=31289&p=439184&hilit=claim#p438984. It's not a firm confirmation, but that is the best number until someone can confirm it is otherwise.

pclaim does prevent animals from spawning. that is why you want to pclaim your tree farms for sure! you dont want random rats, frogs, ants, or any wild animals to wander around your baby trees.

heh, we had just been talking about this lately. deer around my plot are unfortunately now lvl 9. they used to be lvl 10 before.

we were talking about this rumour that we once had, of civilization not changing animal lvls any more. not about how it works.

What is the best way to block somebody inside a house without building an entire wall? I tried to put a cornerpost down but I can't get it close enough to the door

I was just able to destroy one with 88 strength and a quality 17 pickaxe. 88 strengh and a q 29 axe doesn't work. It took a little while to destroy though. I guess low Q pickaxes are good for destroying things, but my q 29 axe still worked better for mining for some reason

You MIGHT get someone to tell you how to grief others, but if you want to do these things, you should probably learn how to play the game first and then worry about screwing with people after. (A: you can't place anything there that would block anyone in as they can use a bug and get out of the situation assuming that they even get caught on the object. It's why you can't place objects directly in front of the door.)

I'm trying to gain power. I'm not griefing for the sake of griefing.

Tools add a fixed amount of damage and aren't affected by quality calculations: stone axe +1, pick axe +2, sledgehammer +4, battering ram +25

If somebody is sleeping in a house and I destroy the house and their hearth fire, are they going to be forced to log into the wilderness?
