What is the best way to block somebody inside a house without building an entire wall? I tried to put a cornerpost down but I can't get it close enough to the door

place hearthfire with shift inside house
then make sure with some alt it blocks proper

it's not 100% safe as someone with vandalism and 25 str can bash it

built my initial brick cornerpost lastnight, roughly 12 and a half hours ago, when I log in today it say it has like 9 hours left to do?
I check wiki and these forums and it all said it had a 12 hour drying time

The in-game message is in in-game time, so divide it by 3 roughly to get the real-life time.

Okay, so I've been trying to find someone to trade with for enough Straw to make a chicken coop, since I have a male and female chicken. My question is...I know they can die if you store them in a storage unit like a cupboard, but what about dying in your inventory? Is that possible?

Yes, they'll die after a time, I think it's a real life day or two, if kept anywhere besides a chicken coop with food in it.

Worst comes to worst don't fret it. Chickens are easy to find and you can probably even find someone willing to sell you a breeding pair. =)

the server crashed earlier today and stopped for a few hours, so that must be it. when the server is down, the in game time doesnt proceed.

i know its around 170?
