What should I look for when in a mine?
All I see are these black spots, I mine them and I get stones from them. :?
Do the different metals have distinctive icons when laying around in the mine? Or you mine the black spots and randomly get a metal?

Ore occurs in nodes. The tiles will not change looks if they do or don't have ore. So yes, just mine untill a tile gives you ore and there will be alot more tiles in the area with ore (generally). Also you can use rustroot extract to check the level above untill you find ore in a spot and minehole down.

Chicken Question

Postby nibu » Thu Sep 05, 2013 1:15 am

Hello guys,

I'm pretty new to this game and i had a question concerning chickens: Started building my coop today but will be another 2 days before i have enough straw. A few minutes ago i wandered across a flock of wild chicken and managed to capture 2 dead chickens, 3 live ones and 2 chicks. However i read on the wiki that they won't survive for 2 (real) days until my coop is ready so i was wondering if there is a way to keep them alive without a coop? I got fodder for them if necessary.

I was thinking about building a fence and letting 'em run free but then i read that they just run through the fence...so maybe i thought about letting 'em run free in my house so that they can't get enough and don't die either? Is this possible?

None of these are possible. The only way is to build the coop. Sorry.

Well if you are really dedicated, you could drop the living chickens/cock/chicks in a house with a character logged in until the coop is ready so that they don't despawn.

How do I expland claims now? I've just gotten back after a long time not playing and the system has completely changed.

You need to download the update for enders (or union), then right click on your stake claim.
It's pretty self explanitory.
