You don't find anything because it's custom client related not game related (no Hotbars in default client - i'm wrong see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22391&start=5190#p443889 ) - you having the Hotbar unlocked (open lock symbol at hotbar) than drag the icon you want to have on hotkey in there and lock again ...

I thought you could from the custom clients. I never bothered with it because there were problems with trying to use things such as waterskins from the hotbar.

No, you can use it for teleporting. Everything that you lift will be with you.
