Yes there are? Unless you mean the hotkeys only having one bar, which is untrue, just press alt + 0-9 for 10 different, easy to access bars.

No Bear For Me

Postby shimmytwotop » Fri Sep 06, 2013 10:09 pm

Everywhere I look I cannot seem to find a bear anywhere. Looked on the wiki and went to the biomes where they would normally be located but have yet to see a single one. I have been searching for over a week. Any pro tips for me guys?

The easiest way to hunt 'em is to get lots of UA and to travel forests on foot.
Just gotta be lucky using a boat

Do I have to worry about "watching" my steel crucibles like I do with my tanning tubs? What other objects other than Fire are affected by this phenomenon of being "unloaded" as I remember it being called.
Work on a mining thread for me. Here are my shitty mining notes. http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31382&p=442398#p442398

It's only tanning tubs.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Q100+ carrots when ur making honey too.
IF you don't watch them, they might jump back to Q100.
So just afk an alt there
Oh and very meaningful: Boats go to the from-north-to-west position when they're unloaded for some time. If you go to forage outside on swamps with a boat, make sure the position of the boat is the north-to-west one, so people don't know you're foraging there. I've killed plenty of people by seeing their active boats and camping them.

If your'e in a cave and you use Prospect and work out where a node is below you, is there a chance the tiles next to you also have a mineral in them?

There's always a chance tiles are a node in caves, but it has nothing to do with prospecting. When you prospect, you find nodes on the layer below. Nothing else.

Nope. Different cave layers are completely independent, resources/nodes are not shared between them.
