Also I am noticing the "Red bar" on the male sheep is noticeably lower than that of the female sheep. What does the red bar represent? Is this normal?
pregnant females eat a lot more than males, that is why. so, it is normal. not just with sheep but with all others.
in general, males take long to raise its "food eaten" quality because they dont get as hungry as pregnant females do.
*edit*
forgotten about the bar;
as others said, "red bar" is the animal's hunger bar. when it is filled red, the animal is full, which means it has eaten. most likely your female sheep had just eaten some and male hadnt eaten yet when you checked. unless the red bar is going down like more than half, you dont have to worry. (when the animal has the hunger bar too low for too long, the beige bar - i call it "starvation bar" - gets lowered)
