Was wondering if ore quality is effected by survival or some other stats?

I made a miner and been just focusing on str and smithing and so far i have just been geting q10 ore from places where i need over 100str which seems a bit weird in my opinion.

Wouldn't like to waste LP on survival to get an answer for this....

Normally it depends on the levels where you dig, so Level1 is q10 , Level2 is q20 and so on. But you sometimes might find nodes with higher q than Levels default.

Survival comes into game when looking for clay in cavelakes - finding a higher clay q there might point to a ore node with higher q ore around

LP on Survival is never wasted

I thought ore q on the first level was tied to dirt Q, not clay Q.
