I've noticed that I take damage sometimes from animals and mistakes I make during combat, but my armor doest take damage.
How come?
If I could I would heal and help people, but in this realm I can't...Wait...elixirs? *Dons Plague Doctor mask*

Have you noticed you can damage 1000 armor class people with a punch?
It's because animals have a penetration kind of damage just like punch. Shoot, sting, valorous strike and that kind of crap has no penetration and you have to deal lots of damage to damage people. However, punches and animals can kill you and damage you whether you have armor or not. Theoretically if there was 1 person in the whole world and we're not counting combat against trolls, all you'd need is full leather armor high Q, to not get your armor damaged at all, by animals.

Piercing damage is the percent of damage that ignores your armor should the enemy break your defenses. Archery and other ranged combat styles have 0% piercing, swords have 0% piercing, axes have 5% piercing, and unarmed combat has 30% piercing.

Remember that the damage the percentage takes from is not their total damage, but the damage that gets through your defenses. If you block 90% of their attack with your defense only 10% of their damage goes through and so the percent is taken from the 10%.

All animals have piercing damage. The exact amount is difficult to calculate but it is presumably similar to unarmed piercing.

I have a question regarding lawspeaking.
The wiki says:

f and only if a village has no members in it can anyone not a member of that village become the Lawspeaker of that village. Right click the Village Idol from a visible range to become one. If the village has more then 50k authority the Trespassing skill is required and criminal acts must be turned on, although no scents are left taking over the empty village. The person attempting to become Lawspeaker of an empty village can not be a Lawspeaker of another village.

What happens if the idol of a village is inactive (ran out of authority)? Could anyone became the lawspeaker then?

empty = no villagemembers

But with very low Auth on idol it's easy to destroy and build a new one
