anyone know what damage formulas for archery have been changed to? I have a q49 bow with q50-60 bone arrows and I'm hitting foxes for about 175 and watching them take off running(guessing that means they've been changed also since wiki says a level 4 fox should have 160 hp)

wiki should be up to date on ranged damage stuff. woodbows base 110, bone arrows base 20. don't forget the martial/peaceful adjustment. not sure about the accuracy of the fox hitpoints.

Keep in mind you don't always do maximum damage. How much damage your minimum is, is based off of your perception versus their agility. At base your minimum damage is half of your maximum damage, iirc. So even though your maximum is 243, if your perception were equal to the foxes agility, then you'd do between 121.5 to 243 damage per hit.

Also, HP has always been variable to some degree. No clue how that's determined though.

I've never paid attention to the number of hp on foxes, deer and such, but pretty sure I figured it up to be 200 at one point. I'll have to double check that number again. It's been a while since I've killed foxes and had to worry about them running.

Well i was searching for a nice builder/survivor game and found this. I started my camp from logs and such. My first day. I was standing at a river (and try to fish) when an unknow person came to me and offered a travel to a good fishing spot. We stopped on an island where i got killed by him and his friend. He told 'never trust anyone'.

Well i sent this as a goodbye. I played 20mins on this game and no more. WTF just happen? Are there such players are out there? Who freely kill? This is a cold bloody world and not as peaceful as written?

This game is currently broken and requires a massive overhaul to fix. The developers are currently busy with a commercial project called Salem that is supposed to be out in about six months. (Details here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14667 as well as through the publisher's site www.paradoxplaza.com) This is a bad time for new players unless they have experience in open PvP games. The game has gone from having severe consequence for random acts of violence to almost no enforceable consequences. It will improve later.

This IS a survival game with open PvP. Did you miss that in the information? If you have no experience with these types of games on the Internet, then yes, they all have players like this. If you can't tolerate this, then I suggest you not ever touch another game again that states it has open PvP. The rule of thumb is don't trust anyone unless you've co-existed with them for a long time, and even then don't let them have the keys to your house. Otherwise, this is a really fun game. You just need to take precautions.
