No I am not trying to recruit random people. Just people in game already. Thanks.

Do you mean you already have friends that would like to play with you? If you want to 'recruit' youd need a village idol but it doesn't do much for you.

@yuno

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Lawspeaking
Lawspeaker (Chieftain) - Oath of Allegiance = Invites the person used on to join the village.

In case of distance to chars that should be joining make a Party:
http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Party
click with "Oath of Allegiance" cursor on Party Member Picture

Combat help

Postby Zanicus » Fri Dec 13, 2013 2:13 pm

Ok, so I have a few questions about what is good and what is not:

1. What is better in PvE and what in PvP? Unarmed or melee combat?
2. What stat levels should I have in the skill better for PvE in order to kill a fox, and what for a boar?
3. What is the best and easiest way to get swords early in game?

Thanks for your answers. :D

1. in PvE all is same, the animal dies in the end. In PvP, I'd say UA is more useful but, say, 800 UA is less powerful than 400 UA and 400 melee.
2. Fox no less than 20 UA to be safe, and boar 70 if you're trying hard and 80 if,again, wanna be safe.
3. Boat around for flots, buy sword with flots. Something like this.

Does repair affect herbalist's quality?

There's a way to save the minimap?

With default client (Play Button) the only way to save minimaps is to screenshot it

With custom clients like Ender (and forks) minimaps of overground are automaticly stored in maps or simplemaps folder (depending on your minimap view settings), cave minimaps you'll have to click the small disk icon at minimp to get them stored in folder cave (only manually saved)

to view these you'll have to copy map.html and currentsession.js into each map folder - you can now edit the subfoldername of the map you want to look at into currentsession.js with Notepad, save (as "all files") and open map.html with your browser

currentsession.js example
Code: Select all
var currentSession = '2010-10-10 10.00.00';

maps subfolder name
Code: Select all
2013-12-14 20.04.43

currentsession.js with edited subfolder name
Code: Select all
var currentSession = '2013-12-14 20.04.43';

some more hints on local mapping here:
http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vie ... 27&t=31386

more questions about local mapping should go into that thread please
