Nope, I am using feast, the fork appears and everything, left-clicking "Feast!" and then left-clicking the food on the table.

How much extra depends on the FEP bonus on the table you're eating off of.
Tables with crappy symbel will give less FEP bonus, but if you have good symbel (gold bell, silk table cloth ect.) then you will get a higher bonus.
Feasting with a bonfire does not change the FEP bonus.
Smoking hemp before eating will also increase the FEP bonus while eating.
This is a random buff, I'm not sure exactly how it works, so it might not work 100% of the time.

The FEP bonus is 4%, I've played for several days with that 4% FEP bonus and I've never seen more than what is written when you keep it in your backpack... are you guys sure it's not glitched? I've never seen more than the 3 stength, 1 psyche FEP from Sturgeon, for example. And I've had a lot of Sturgeons.

I'm not sure I understand completely, but do you mean that basically the bonus is not written? The bar expands quicker without the actual numbers being told?

I'm planning to build a palisade. Once I build the first cornerpost and make two perpendicular extensions off it, can I seal it and then continue extending the walls? Or do I have to finish the walls before sealing the cornerpost?

Also, if I seal a cornerpost, does it prevent gates from being built, or only walls?

If you seal a cornerpost, you can't open the interaction flower. If you extend a segment or more and seal cornerpost, you can still interact with segments.
Since you can't open interaction flower if cornerpost is sealed, you can't build gate using that cornerpost. However, if 1 of 2 gate cornerposts is sealed, you can right-click the other, un-sealed one and build the gate even though the sealed one is sealed.
