Not really. One could classify it as a bug, but maybe intentionally done to not completely ruin the use of drinking tea. Then again, it could have just been an unwillingness to completely rewrite the character buff/debfuff system to run when the character is offline (and consume server resources).

The Tea buff doesn't instantly disappear when you log in because while you sleep it doesn't wear off. The main issue is to get the full tea buff requires you to rest and enjoy the tea for about half a maximum dosage's duration (12-15 minutes or something). It's made to be like that because the curios are duration LP gains; in earlier worlds tea was good in short duration because you'd drink it and enjoy the effects while you do some specialized crafting or cooking (getting you LP from the actions).

Tea buff being durational doesn't work well with the curio system because most curios take longer than the tea buff's duration. So it had to be made to not wear down while sleeping/offline, to allow more curios to be boosted by the effect. The downside is you have to remember to give yourself 12-15 minutes before you plan to log out to drink tea, so the buff can mature.

So I just got killed. I'm not here to whine about that though, it's part of the game. What I'm here for, however, is that I didn't get a single point of LP when I inherited. Granted, I did have full Change, but it should still grant about 7% LP from skills and currently accumulated LP. I got nothing. I did get personal beliefs and ~25% of the stats my old character had. Why's that?

Hey guys, couple simple questions;

One: It says I am all alone in the world when I check to see who else is online. Huh? It seems like I'm in the "world" seeing other peoples towns etc..

two: I have my fishing pole equipped but get an error msg "you must have a fully equipped fishing pole". Huh? I see it on my dude.. I also have worms so what is up?

When the game says you are alone it simply means you have not kinned anyone yet. It does not mean there is no one else playing.

a fishing pole needs a string and a hook as well. See if you have them equiped to the pole.
