So really bad noob at everything question. How do I IRC? Can someone give me a rough guide on how to get on?

IRC can be moderated (and I believe #haven is), but it can be almost as bad as the in-game global chat channel when it comes to getting advice. You're better off digging through the forums, wiki, and asking here if you still can't find your answer.
