The points are simply values that are attached to the products. So, for example, you see something in the selling section that you want to buy that costs 50pts - you then look in the buying section and see that a pearl, for instance, is worth 50pts - you then trade the pearl for the goods you want.

Edit:

Oops, sorry, already answered - wasn't paying attention.

the point system is also good for comparing offers when it comes to high priced goods

i:e. when someone buys pearls for 60pts instead of normal 50 pts you'd better check double the selling prices ;)

1. On wiki it says that tiles in a 50 tile radius of cave exit cannot be mined. Is it still true?
2. Is it possible to drop a minehole near (<50 tiles away) a cave?

Haha, my character was on a boat too ;)
Character will not drown in the water, most likely at the entrance you will have to teleport to the hearth fire :)
I had a retardedly huge and animated signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it

You can try to log back in where you logged out, sometimes you'll get lucky and end up in your boat. If it's not possible because someone stole your boat or the game just thinks the boat is gone then the only thing you can click on is log back in at your hf. Don't worry, you won't drown ;)

Also it can happen that you just log in on the shore or in shallow water ...

When you don't have swimming toggled on you might find yourself standing on the water when the boat is gone ... so you need a friendly boater passing by to pick you up or TP to HF ...

In W5 there was player using this to wait for others to pick him - he then tried to get the people to show him their place by playing "helpless Noob" and griefed their stuff when ppl took him to their place - i had fun picking him up with different chars and boating him for an hour to some anandoned places and told him : "here's my place get out and go there and wait for me while i fetch something from a friends place on the other shore" and boated away when he got out - this worked 3 times btw. ...

Is my barter stand useless now? The character that had ownership of it didn't clear it and has died, is there no way to clear it?

ZZ

Edit: I googled this (which I should have done first) and it appears that I am screwed and will have to build a new one. In addition to building a new one it looks like I have to use criminal acts to destroy the old one, damn.
