Yes, and it means that they are 'bumping' the thread to the top of the fist page of Apples and Oranges, so that people will see it.

Bumping is forum speak for bringing a thread up in chronologically ordered forums. You can't bump in Reddit, for example.
And yep.

Potentially silly question, does the HHP damage boost from taking death on the personal belief slider apply to animals or just other players? Similarly does it work for ranged damage or just melee/unarmed?

Quoting wiki

Full Life is advised due to Grievous damage being rather useless, because animals have no HHP, and dealing higher HHP to players isn't very effective anyways.

It does work ranged and it's only useful if you're sniping alts with bows and don't want to waste 2 arrows per alt I guess. Otherwise it's useless as shit.

It is possible with a powerful character to 1shot another decent character from standing to dead with a cleave at 0 def bar and full death.
Of another era.

I don't think its possible to COMPLETELY one hit someone but I've never tested it. Try testing it on an ult.

Ok so my question would be, is there a way to determine the quality of, for example a cauldron without knowing the quality caly/metal used to build it?

Take a formula which includes the quality of it. Find out the quality of everything else required in the formula. Craft the thing. Now you know result and everything except cauldron Q. From there on it's elementary school math.
