What does Travel Weariness do? I know it decreases when you sleep and increases when you travel, but I haven't noticed it affecting my gameplay at all.

It only affects teleportation. Such as telepoting to hearth or village idol or on crossroads. Read the wiki.

Don't be condescending, I read the wiki and it only explains what increases/decreases Travel Weariness and some agility related stuff. I'm asking how Travel Weariness affects your game. It doesn't seem to prevent teleporting, because I've been teleporting back to my Hearthfire heaps with Travel Weariness at 100%.

Even if you have TW at 100%, you can always travel to hearth, or alternatively to village idol if you have no hearth.
But traveling on crossroads has a price, and if you don't have enough travel weariness left, then you cannot use them.

id bet it leaves scents either way like how early world people were killing without murder by having frined ready 2 shoot a sling and then they ko him or queing punch just before he gets koed or something it would leave a murder scent still

Yeah, that happened with me, I was shocked when the guy died.
But it doesn't work anymore. I tried to do it to you, but my guy just got to your body and stopped. He didn't punch.

And early world I summoned someone with CA off, it left no scents. It might've been changed, but try it next time you're summoning.
