Animal levels are based on the overall "civilization" level of an area. Reports are there are several factors including size of a village and number of active players in the area. No idea how much or if total LP of the players, amount of industrial/agricultural activity, etc. has on the total civilization levels. It's one thing J&L have been really mum on overall.

Cheers apoc; followup question: does anyone know what the bud q affects; i.e. does it affect

(1) the magnitude of the %FEP buff
(2) the duration of the buff
(3) the speed at which the buff goes to 100%

Also just to be sure; it takes 33 hours to go from planted - buds, and the bud stage lasts only one hour?

That sounds about accurate, though I think it's only about 45 minute window to harvest the bud. The actual time might be as low as 32 or up to 35. It's about a day and a half real time for hemp to grow to full maturity. If you truly are growing for buds, I suggest planting outside the area of a beehive. The growth takes twice as long and gives twice the window to pick.

No such thread exists and I believe most players horde such information and locations. Best of luck finding good water though.
