Apparently it's a pretty pointless terrain type... :v

Somehow looks nicer than H&H looks now. Is it a different client? Or a previous world?

It's a custom sprite package.

Thicket is a rather nice terrain if you know how to use it.

I've been mining for a while now but I haven't been able to get through the 2nd layer. I'm 90 strength & Q40 axe. Around which amount of strength would I be able to mine the 2nd layer? Any ore would be fine, I'd just like an estimate :)

it varies a lot but you're probably not too far away

what error message do you get?

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Mining
Messages that occur while mining (each message means 10-15 more Mining ability to mine):
You don't even manage to scratch that rock.
That rock is very much too hard for you to mine.
That rock is much too hard for you to mine.
That rock is slightly too hard for you to mine.
That rock is just slightly too hard for you to mine.

"You don't even manage to scratch that rock." usually, I've just made boar snuff & wine to try it out but I'm not too optimistic due to the message :p

Edit: I tried the snuff & wine, got to 137 strength and it came to "That rock is very much too hard for you to mine." I guess it lays around 200 then?

I would try to buy a better axe as soon as you can, if you're willing to do trades.

I'm kind of a loner so I don't have much to trade for :p I guess I could get rid of some pearls, but wouldn't it be better to get a pickaxe (that multiplies the effect, right?) and what would be a realistic quality/price to ask in this point of the game?
