Yeah, thats what i meant i guess, pickaxe, would really speed up your mining I think. I dunno, try looking in the trade forums at one of the big traders.

No, pickaxe just increases the speed at which you mine, quality is the only thing that matters when determining if you can break the hardness of the stone. A high quality stone axe, though more time and stamina intensive, would be better than a lower quality pickaxe for mining hard stone.

Hardness is a node, so if one area is too tough for you then just chip around until you find somewhere softer. This may very well mean building more mine holes until you can find somewhere that's easy enough to dig through. Just weigh what's more difficult/expensive, increasing your strength/axe quality or a new mine hole.

So you're saying two equal nodes, such as iron, on the same layer might have different hardness?

Yeah

But if you buy a q100 or so pickaxe I really dont think you should have problems on layer 2

Something odd is happening with travel weariness. If I jump to my HF my travel weariness goes from 0 to 56 and when I drink wine it reduces it. Then I jump back to my idol my weariness is 57, (slight difference in distance) all normal and expected. Except when I log out and back in my weariness in now beyond 100% and takes several sips of wine to get it below 100%.

This character is wearing leather armor and when I do these jumps I equip him with some ranger boots and take them off before I log off. Cant think of anything else that can cause this.

100q is a quality that most developed players should be able to make by now.
I'd sell you one for a pearl, and that's an expensive price (I'd probably take two flots)
