Now that I can make, say ql20 sword, is it worth doing one and investing a bit in MC ? I currently am at 40ua. Also, are the knuckles good for UA ? I mean compared to having nohing, does it raise dmg ?

The wiki should tell you.
About the sword, it really depends, if you already have a brickwall and the essentials then sure, use your steel on whatever you want, but personally I think buying a high quality soldier's sword would be better because a Q20 sword can't 1hit animals and what's the point of swords anyway if they can't 1hit? You can just use fists to beat animals up. So no, I don't think you should craft your own sword yet.

Yeah ppl use soldier's gauntlets more. Easier to make higher quality, therefore more damage, and they give armor.
Make 2 cornerposts, make gate, break cornerpost, open gate, put cow in, close gate. Easier to manage cows.

Why are traders using pearls & other curios as currency, instead of coins?
I was in the Northern Army once and you can never take that from me

Curios such as pearl flotsam etc... are a good source of LP for any character... When you know that pearls have 1% chance to appear when you boil a mussel, you understand that it is more valuable than coins.
I think you'd rather trade a bar of metal than coins anyway because coins are of no use except to use them on vending stands and to melt them back to bars.

Coins are cumbersome compared to other items and always have been. Even before curiosities you tended to use just metal bars as currency. The process of minting, and melting back down, coins to retain any sort of intrinsic value adds steps to trade. If you don't end up with sets of 100 then you have spare change that can't be used for anything but sitting around on a shelf. If you're only using even amounts of 100 for trading, why not just use metal bars?

You are free to use coins as you'd like but there isn't much incentive for it, as they lack any sort of value beyond the metal bar that they represent. If a trader doesn't want that metal bar, then they don't want the coins.

You probably don't want bulls and cows neck and neck, but even 2-3 tiles apart should keep them out of trouble. There is no easy way to tell that a cow is pregnant. You can watch fodder consumption rates to determine if you have a pregnant cow, as a pregnant cow eats more food than other cows, otherwise you'll need to have seen the act take place.

Which you can find by clicking your own name.

There is a unproven fact about the red bar showing if cows are pregnant or not. If the red bar drops below 96% it might not be pregnant. Sadly cause of random server actions its difficult to rely on it fully and there isn't enough data to really prove it.
