So, I've found a cave. I know from past experience that when you mine a wall tile and find stones, there's no metal vein present. However, what does it mean if you mine a wall-tile and get neither stones or ore? I didn't see anything about it in Sevenless' guide.

Did you actually manage to mine the tile? Or was your timer frozen (meaning you can't quite dig through the wall).

It's never been mentioned because it's never happened to anyone I know of.

I promise the timer wasn't frozen, but I suppose the "problem" is that I didn't mine all the way through the tile, and called it quits after mining once and getting nothing. I've since had the same thing happen, but it's produced stones after the tile's gone.

They're somewhat uncommon. But I've seen 2 cave ins on prospecting tiles and heard of 1 from people ingame. They definitely happen.

you only have a certain chance to get ore or stone when you mine, so it can take a few cycles before you get anything from a tile

What happens when you are getting ore, but all the ore is turning into stone when you smelt it? I found two nodes already.. one was copper and had quality to it the second one is quality 10 only but only turns to stone when i smelt it.. I tried about 15 pcs and only got stone back?

Make sure your miner character's personal belief is at full Industry.
Make sure you smelt a lot of that shit because it seems you're unlucky.

still a newby character so slider is still not full industry yet.. I got 2 bars out of 3 ore with the lvl 18q node.. its weird.. im going to smelt another full load and see if I get a bar. Thanks for the fast response.

if it had any quality to it, I would wait.. but its only lvl 10 and im just trying to see what it is. I wasnt trying to smelt the whole thing.. was trying to get info as to why I could get two bars from 3 ore and no bars on 15 ore.. I understand the industry thing and didnt plan to mine fully until the slider was full.
