Interesting idea to jump back in the boat. Doesn't seem to work though.

This is the descendant of a recently deceased who was the descendant of a recently deseased. And I'm a noob. So trespassing and theft are out of my skill buying reach for now (did I mention my inherited curios are in the boat). I think I will leave the damn boat there... go back to catching dragon flies etc...

I must try stealing though, I need to add that way of getting killed to my list... (jk). For some stupid reason I feel more "hard core" not using alts when experimenting with the game.

you mean, you left your boat on a land?
sorry to hear that it didnt help, i can imagine it is a big deal for you currently, but trust me, the only annoyance is to cut down trees and make boards to craft another boat again, all others are easily re-obtainable hopefully.

The standard way to contact village owners is to make a thread in congress mentioning the name of the village idol.

It should make a Q 10 clay cauldron. The only way you can effect it, I believe is by crafting with it.

Everything you build from signpost should have its quality be determinated by material alone with hearthling stats not affecting it.

About scented gear:

#1 If I buy scented gear can my alt be summoned if they're holding/wearing the stolen item?
#2 If it passes hands in my village is it considered stealing? Does it create scents?

I know the owner can track the stolen item down, but can they get the item back from me?

no and no and theres no mechanic that gives them back the item, but they can always raid you/kill you when they find you and loot your stuff among which the stolen one would be

In-game text always refers to in-game days. in-game day is 8 hours so house needs to set for 1 real life day.
