Essentially trying to squeeze out some quality wax without needing to rely on keeping an alt logged in at all times as my connection's too unreliable to leave one logged in overnight thanks comcast

For quality the simplest method is the hive in the center of a circle filled with carrots. It may be more than the bees need but the game can sometimes be picky where they are located so why gamble. If you can not keep an alt logged in then that means a new hive each time the carrots have matured. If your ok with q100 wax then get the honey to q100 and dont harvest the wax will stay about the same.

Where x-com writes about numbers of crops equating to so much honey and wax, it is not necessarily the number of crops you plant at one time, it is the number that grow within a 20 min period. Crops affected by a beehive will grow at different rates, you will probably get approx. half of the crops you plant growing in one hit so 100 is maybe just slightly on the small side but should at least get you some wax over the four growth cycles.

If you're adding it as an attachment, you need to change the format to something with higher compression. It's up to you what to use, and I can never remember which gets the best compression with the least loss.

You can also post to an image host like imgur and link it in your post using the image tags (button on the reply toolbar).

What are the required discoveries for a bear cape? I've killed a bear, dried its hide and taken its teeth but bear cape doesn't appear in the leather working menu.

That should be it, you need hunting as well but you should have that if you have killed a bear.. unless it was a different person that killed it to the one that butchered it, in which case check hunting. Hang on... you have taken the bear hide off the drying frame havent you???, again this needs to have been done by the alt that discovered all the other bits.

As a general tip if you have multiple alts that need to share thier discoveries then you can do it by getting one to build a barter stand, buying things from a barter stand allows you to discover things and you can set the price at something like a level 10 branch.

Got them. I'm going to see if making a hide cloak opens up bear cape to me. Do I need to build a bear tooth talisman?

i guess you're playing with a custom client - i'd suggest to recheck bearcape crafting with default client

normally if you'd got Leather working, skinned and dried the hide yourself and picked the tooth and bones yourself you should be able to craft it

another point might be spending LP for sewing if you're still at 1 (?)
