... As far as I know/understand it:
There are basically two different trees initiated terraforming processes.
- The first is that any tree that grows to its next level. Terraforms one random tile, relative close to the tree, to the trees native terrain. (
If the picked tile is immune to the terraform, no terraform happens.)
- The second is by forcing a server-grid to become a "active" broad-leaf or coniferous terrain type. At which point all tiles* in that server-grid will be slowly terraformed to the target forest type. (* excluding immune tiles-types. Like pavement, mudflat, .?. ).
How to force a server-grid to become a "active" broad-leaf or coniferous terrain type: See the "Terraforming" section in Xcom's
The Universe of Haven.
(
Basics: Force 9 [3x3] server-grids to become passive-forest types, and use more than one tree type (same native-ground type of course). This should trigger the center server-grid of that [3x3] area to become a "active" forest type. ... Its a bit like Conway's_Game_of_Life rule 4.)
I'm currently drawing a blank on what to add/write.
