Hi I am new here and I have couple questions.
Which is the best and fastest way to get food in the early game with those FEP points or what they are called, what are LP, what dot hey stand for and which is the fastest way to get them and finally where is the best place to settle, since I want to be loner player and experience the game for myself, since I've heard that it is always PVP or is there a way to turn it off?

You can't turn off PVP but there are some ways that help to avoid PVP - don't settle at rivers, check the area very well before settling
somewhere (which means more than 20 steps and half an hour - take yourself 3 or 4 days minimum) and don't do idiotic stuff that might anger people around like starting to chop more trees than needed to build ... or settle next to a big claim

be prepaired to die sometimes not only because of PVP

It is just a bug that means the points don't show visually, if you log out for a couple of minutes and then log back in, or make a discovery in game then the lp will appear.

Cat gold is a useless curio that you get from either chipping stone or mining, it will not be layed as stone or gold (as far as i know) when trying to.
