Significantly? Let's say that I have a bunch of 5x5 fields that are all neatly separated with stone paths. Is that bad for the hive?

No, there's no need to keep it inside. Mine has been standing on the ground on a claim for a real-time month without any decay.

When farming and tiles revert to their original terrain will it affect growing crops quality? Should I keep them plowed or does it matter?
