Does lifting an animal corpse keep it from decaying? Or will it decay in my hands or just decay the second i put it down?

Corpses decay anywhere they are at. The timer keeps ticking no matter what. (Exception: server downtime when all timers stop.)

It'll look perfectly normal right until you put it down. Same for if you keep it in a container (Such as a cart, boat, or wagon.) It will look like a perfectly good corpse and then when you take it out, it will be a skeleton -- or if you've waited long enough, it'll just disappear.

Or deeper, yes. At the very least I have never seen or heard of it being discovered on Layer 1/Cave Layer.

I meant animal stats, I know its not hide or meat quality...I've been getting some weird bone qualities(way lower than hide or meat)

some time i have a big-bug....my computer not good
when i game-broken...i reset game and re-play....but i cannot use "where you logged out"
i push "where you logged out"... no any thing occur (i just push "where you logged out" key xN,but cannot enter)
always only "go my hearth fire" can work....
this bug is very bad...waste my time and my game-resources...how to fix it?

If you crash or log out while carrying an object, it can fall where you were standing and prevent you from logging in at your last location.

Have your animals starved at all? That will lower their q. Otherwise they are in some way capped by the q of the food they have eaten (softcap, hardcap, idk). Beyond that ... anything beyond that I don't know.
