Question About Metal Types In Mines

Postby Nothh » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:02 am

I just recently found an abandoned mine on a mountain, and so far mining it is only giving me tin ore, does that mean that this mine is a tin mine and there is no chance for any other metal? Or is all hope not lost and there is a chance for other types of metal to still be in the mine?

You'll only get tin from that mine. Every mine yields only metal of its specific metal type, an iron mine will yield iron etc.

Alright, thank you :) Guess we'll just have to keep looking for a mine.

What do you mean by mountain? like one of those little holes in the side of those mini cliffs? Because if those are considered mines then why is it that i cant mine anything? there are these stone pillars that i can chip away at, but it yields no metal.
I guess I just prefer to see the dark side of things. The glass is always half empty. And cracked. And I just cut my lip on it. And chipped a tooth.

Mountains are gray terrain with lots of cliff sides and which are made up of stone. They have the highest odds of having a mine on them.
What you're describing is a cave, which Can have a mine in it but you'll need to prospect in order to find out.
