Is there an easy way to identify objects?

Occasionally while in villages, I'll find structures/objects that I don't know what the hell they are, and can't tell how to find out, other than narrating what they look like to other people until somebody else figures it out for me. Like I found this one object that looks kinda like a chair with a marshmallow on a stick poking out, and it doesn't have a right-click context menu, so all I can do is gawk at it until somebody on my kin list comes online so I can pester them.

Huh, somehow I thought looms were the only cloth-making devices. Thanks, but it doesn't really answer my first question - is there a way to identify objects without pestering other people by playing some kinda verbal pictionary with them?

You can try search (by matching appearance) it on wiki.

Or you could navigate through your building options and see if you can build it and so identify that object.
