wth is wrong with rafts man?

i tried to build one but i cant
it keeps saying the area required is occupied
and when i drop one part on the other nothing happns
i made like 6 rafts by now and no full raft
wth?

Make sure you're dropping individual pieces onto the piece that has more than one in it, otherwise you're just resetting it back to just 1. So determine which piece is the one you're going to build off of and place 3 other individual pieces into THAT one. You also have to make sure it has plenty of room on all sides of the raft, boats can get in the way sometimes.
