Chicks?

Will chicks grow into adult ones only if they are under a chicken? Me and my village mates are a bit confused on this.

No. As long as they're inside a chicken coop, have access to fodder, and have room to turn into an adult, they don't need to be underneath an already grown chicken.

dang....village mates keep putting them in the old coop under the Grown chickens.....
