I know every forum needs to have somebody to fill the "cranky veteran that vents at newbies" role, but maybe you might consider that the "How Do I?" forum is going to have new players asking easily answered questions, and that a little civility might be more productive.

There's currently no fixed date on a world reset, but to answer your question, remember that H&H is still in alpha, and therefore subject to change. I don't exactly have my ear to the ground on this stuff, but I understand that there's a variety of revamps and overhauls for existing mechanics (which shouldn't be surprising for a game still under development), and possibly even some new content. I'd guess that there'd be something by the end of the year, but don't quote me on that.

If you're asking because you're wary of getting started and accomplishing things only to have all your work disappear forever in a reset, don't be. Learning how to play will be more useful than any silly game items that can be easily reacquired once you know how.
